Both Intense pulsed light IPL/SHR and the 3-Wave Diode laser hair removal treatments are both methods of hair removal that use light energy to target and destroy hair follicles. The key principle behind laser hair removal is specific wavelengths of light and pulse duration to target the melanin in a hair follicle whilst avoiding the surrounding tissue area. Melanin is the naturally occurring pigment in our hair associated with colour that these treatments target.

Wavelengths: IPL/SHR stands for Super-Fast Hair Removal and refers to a new type of permanent hair removal with light and is an advanced and improved version of IPL.
This new technology for permanent hair removal which is having a sweeping success uses a broad spectrum of wavelengths, typically ranging from 500-1200nm and works safely on skin types 1-4 (white to dark Asian skin.
The 3-Wave Diode System. This technology combines the benefits of three wavelengths in a single device.
